MAEOE is a small non-profit and would not be able to accomplish its mission without it’s amazing volunteers.  You can find several volunteer opportunities below:

Green Leaders

June 3 June4 461Green Leaders provide support to their local schools in their pursuit of Green School Award Status.  Green Leaders help provide project support and application guidance depending on their interests and the needs of the school. Find out more here.

Conference

With over 500 formal and non-formal educators attending every February, the MAEOE Conference could not run without your help! Tasks include registration, MAEOE sales, and exhibitor set-up.  Find out more here.

Application Reviews

Every April MAEOE receives over a hundred Green School Applications.  Volunteers are trained to review applications according to our Green School rubric.  Trainings and review sessions occur throughout the state.  Volunteers receive snacks and get a hands on experience learning about Green Schools from throughout Maryland.  Email mdgsorganizer@maeoe.org for more information.

Youth Summit

Every May, up to 3000 K-12 students come to the Youth Summit for hands-on environmental learning and to celebrate receiving their Green Schools Award.  Tasks range from assisting with registration, greeting buses, booth assistance and clean-up.  Find out more here.
